The Difference Between Tequila and Mezcal Tasting with Lou Bank of SACRED

Tasting Room Event
Date/Time: May 2nd, 2024 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: Maine Beer Company

Join us for a special agave tasting and educational session with Lou Bank from SACRED.

Every media outlet from the New York Times to Vogue has declared that Mezcal is “having a moment” — and they’ve been declaring that for almost twenty years now. In this educational tasting of five agave spirits, Lou Bank walks attendees through a tasting that explains why Mezcal is having a moment, what makes it different from Tequila, and how your drinking habits can either preserve it or destroy it.

Lou is the founder of SACRED, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit and a 1% for the Planet Environmental Partner that helps improve lives in the rural Mexican communities where heritage agave spirits are made. He’s also the host of Agave Road Trip, a critically acclaimed, award-winning podcast that helps gringx bartenders better understand agave, agave spirits, and rural Mexico.

Tickets are LIMITED, with one hundred percent of proceeds benefiting their work. This is a 21+ event. Your ticket includes samples of spirits.
