Line Cook (Part-Time)

Overall Description: 
The Line Cook at Maine Beer Company is responsible for creating and maintaining the highest quality food experience for all customers. Providing the best possible experience for every patron and abiding by the values of MBC are of the highest priority. The Line Cook reports directly to the Head Chef. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stock and prepare stations for service of wood fired pizza and other food at Maine Beer Company
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness throughout shift
  • Abide by dress code applicable to food safety
  • Maintain communication with kitchen manager and other coworkers
  • Keep food service flow smooth and time sensitive
  • Cleaning and maintenance of all equipment used for food service at MBC
  • Perform daily opening and closing tasks as needed
  • Follow standard operating procedures for operating the pizza oven and all additional equipment
  • Keep up with prep dishes and make sure the dish pit is clean and organized.
  • Stock dry and perishable goods (rotate goods FIFO-first in first out)
  • Stock fire wood and assure woods stays dry
  • Always stay consistent with the mission of “Do what’s right.”

Qualifications:

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and cooperative work environment
  • Good communication and teamwork
  • Physical stamina to withstand a full shift on their feet
  • Pizza and wood-fired cooking experience a plus but willing to train the right candidate

Dishwasher (Part-Time)

Overall Description: The Dishwasher at Maine Beer Company is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for plates, silverware, glassware, cooking utensils, etc. using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is cleaned and organized. This position can be full-time or part-time. The dishwasher reports directly to the Head Chef, and the position includes nights and weekend hours. Compensation begins at $20/hr.   • Scrape, rinse and load dishes into machine
  • Maintain a positive attitude and cooperative work environment

  • Previous dishwashing experience is preferred
  • Wash all dishes, utensils, glassware and pans
Clean, sanitize and maintain dish machine
  • Change water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more depending on the volume of business
  • Empty trash containers as needed
  • Maintain a clean work area by mopping and sweeping as needed
  • Perform daily closing tasks
  • Perform additional cleaning tasks as requested
  • Assist in bussing and sanitizing tables
  • Maintain communication with kitchen manager and other coworkers
  • Abide by dress code applicable to food safety

Tasting Room Associate (Part-Time)

The Tasting Room at Maine Beer Company is looking for someone that loves craft beer and values a positive work environment. This individual must exhibit excellent customer service and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain a friendly and positive atmosphere while working hard to achieve daily tasks. Qualified individuals should embrace hospitality and will be expected to work weekends and closing shifts. Experience in the craft beer industry and/or restaurant experience is strongly encouraged. Compensation starts at $20/hr and full-time benefits include 100% employer-paid health insurance, at least three weeks paid vacation, dental insurance, disability insurance, 401k, profit-sharing, and more! Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keep bar in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Must be friendly and outgoing, and provide a welcoming environment to patrons and coworkers
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must communicate well with peers, customers, and supervisors
  • Must take initiative and demonstrate efficiency while learning new tasks and skills
  • Stock cooler with bottled beers consistently throughout the day
  • Clean Tasting Room as needed throughout the day (floors, tables, windows, fixtures, coolers, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms throughout the day
  • Assist with Tasting Room events
  • Draft line cleaning and equipment cleaning experience is a plus but will be taught to hired employees
  • Must be able to lift a 5 gallon keg (65 pounds)
  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment
