Black Barn Program No. 30 Scottish Ale Bottle and Draft Release
March 8th, our Black Barn Program enters the world of Scottish ales. Our brewer Phil’s first brewing job was at a pub in Bridge of Allan, Scotland. Their core range of recipes were based on the traditional Scottish shilling system (60, 70, 80, or 90 shilling based on price per volume- higher the ABV higher the price). This beer is based on the 90/- ale we brewed. Brewed (mostly) with traditional Scottish malt and yeast. It is a strong, dark and malty ale. Of all the different ales he brewed at that pub, the 90/- was his favorite because of its rich malt and subtle smoke.
Black Barn Program No. 30 Scottish Ale will be released in bottles and on draft, Wednesday March 9th at 11am exclusively at our tasting room.
